Anglicise

To anglicise (or in American English anglicize) is to adapt a foreign word into the English language according to one's understanding of the norms or conventions of that language. One typical kind of anglicization is the inclusion of a foreign article as part of a noun (e. g. algebra, lavolta).

Names can be anglicised, for example, Johann Müller could become John Miller.
