Case mods

A case mod is the common term for a computers housing, or tower once it has been physically changed (modified, modded). Probably the most frequent case mod, the 'window-mod', is a perspex (or other clear material) window in the side panel of a computer case. The purpose of this particular mod is usually to give visual insight into the interior of the case. Another common mod is the placing of neon lighting, or LED lights within the case or in some circumstances, on the exterior of the case. An experienced 'modder' (someone who mods cases) may go to the extent of modding the actual shape or form of the case to create a completely new looking computer case, and perhaps even install electronics such as VFD displays, 'quad LED fans' and even ultra voilet reactive cables and other accessories.
