Etihad Airways is a national airline of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The airline hubs at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The airline has the IATA designator EY.

The airline flies to Southwest Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe and plans to expand to North Africa. In 2007, it will take delivery of four Airbus A380s.

The airline, which started operations on November 13, 2003, may develop to the point where Abu Dhabi would withdraw from Gulf Air, the other national carrier of the Emirate. Gulf Air is shared by Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Oman.
