IUPUI

Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a regional university campus located in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a joint campus of Indiana University and Purdue University, IUPUI offers undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees from both universities.

It is also the campus that hosts the Indiana University Medical Center. In this capacity it hosts research on infectious disease, cancer, and degenerative disorders. It also hosts the Indiana University Law School and Indiana University School of Dentistry. IUPUI's men's soccer and basketball teams compete at the Division I level in the Mid-Continental Conference.

IUPUI is located just west of downtown near the Indianpolis Zoo, Downtown Canal Walk, and White River State Park. The campus was built in a former African-American neighborhood.

In 2004, new residence halls, the School of Informatics, and a new Herron School of Art were constructed on campus.
