John D. Rockefeller III
John Davison Rockefeller 3rd (March 21, 1906 - July 10, 1978) was an industrialist, philanthropist, and member of the prominent United States Rockefeller family.
He was the eldest son of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and the brother of Nelson A. Rockefeller, Laurance Rockefeller, David Rockefeller, and Winthrop Rockefeller, and father of Jay Rockefeller.
On November 11,1932 he married Blanchette Ferry Hooker.
He died in an automobile accident in 1978.
