Kensington Security Slot

A Kensington Security Slot (sometimes called a "K-Slot") is that small hole found on almost every small or portable computer and electronics equipment nowadays. It is used for attaching a lock of some kind, in particular those from Kensington Technology Group, who are the originators of it.
