Kilpeck

Kilpeck (Welsh: Llanddewi Cil Peddeg) is a Herefordshire village renowned for its Norman church, with striking stone carvings, particularly the arch above the south door. This was previously hidden by a wooden porch, which has been dismantled in recent years in order to allow visitors to see the carvings as originally intended; however, this has left the carvings open to the elements. The carvings are all from the mid-12th century and in their original positions; their sculptors drew inspiration from many different sources; they include a Sheila-na-gig.
