Kitchener Rangers
The Kitchener Rangers are a junior ice hockey team based in Kitchener, Ontario; in Canada a junior team is one for players aged 15 to 20. They play in the Ontario Hockey League.
The Rangers were founded as a farm team for the New York Rangers in the 1950s. They have a long history of success in the OHL and Canadian Hockey League junior leagues, including Memorial Cup (Canadian National junior) championships in 1982 and in 2002. Notable former players include Paul Coffey, Scott Stevens, Darryl Sittler, Walt Tkachuk, and Boyd Deveraux.
They play out of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex (seating capacity: 5,822).
