Kmart Holding Corporation

Kmart Holding Corporation was created when Kmart Corporation emerged from bankruptcy protection in May 2003. It owns Kmart Corporation and is publicly traded.

Kmart Holding appointed Aylwin Lewis, chief executive and president. Lewis was formerly an executive at the restaurant operator Yum! Brands. Lewis succeeds Julian Day, who was appointed in January 2003, when Kmart was in bankruptcy.

The chairman of Kmart Holding is Edward Lampert.
