Kraft Foods
Kraft Foods is the second largest international food products corporation (after Nestlé). It is part of the Altria Group, having been purchased by tobacco company Phillip Morris in 1988. In the US, it is best known for its cheese products, especially Kraft Dinner (also known as Macaroni and cheese), and Dairylea. Other brands with a large presence in various markets throughout the world include Jacobs, Suchard, Baker's, Toblerone, Daim, Milka, Miracle, Philadelphia, Vegemite, Velveeta, Oscar Mayer, Jello, Knox gelatin, Kool-Aid, and Capri Sun. Kraft is headquartered in Northfield, Illinois, a Chicago suburb.
The character of Dairy Fairy Cow was created in the late 1980s, as the products' animated mascot to advertise Kraft Cheese dairy products. She was a fairy godmother who wears her yellow crown, carries her magic wand, flits about on a set of her blue wings, and appears on any of the products' television commercials and advertisements.
Diversity
Kraft recieved a 100% rating on the Corporate Equality Index released by the Human Rights Campaign starting in 2004, the third year of the report.
