The Joshua Tree is an album by U2, released on March 9 1987 on Island Records (see 1987 in music).

This album won Album of the Year award from the Grammy Awards of 1987.

In 2003 the TV channel VH1 named The Joshua Tree the 15th greatest album of all time.
