The Word & the Void

The Word and Void Series by Terry Brooks is a dark fantasy novel set in present or near-future Illinois. The series focuses on John Ross and Nest Freemark, and their struggle to keep dark forces from tipping tha balance of good and evil in the world. There is currently a new trilogy in this series tentatively planned ro begin in 2007 according to Terry Brooks's website
